CENTRE FOR THE MULTI-HANDICAPPED BLIND CHILDREN

Today, there is a large proportion of blind children who, in addition to the blindness, have either hearing, speech, locomotor or mental impairment. Such children are known as multi-handicapped children. These include Deaf Blind, Mentally Challenged Blind, etc. The centre for multi-handicapped focuses on the developmental, social, educational and rehabilitation needs of such children which are very special. A highly qualified and committed team of professionals from diverse fields like medicine, therapy, and psychology and special education render individualized special services in a warm and healthy environment. These services are both institutional and home based. Children from the age group 0-24 can benefit from free services of this programme.
